Friday Is Forever - We The Kings

We The Kings are back on the pop-rock scene with their new single 'Friday Is Forever'. The single is from their forthcoming album which is due to be released in the summer, the name of which is currently unknown. This will be the Florida-based band's third studio album following their 2009 album titled 'Smile Kid' and their self titled 2007 album 'We The Kings'. 'Friday Is Forever', the first single to be released from the new album, premiered on the 8th April 2011 via AOL and became available from iTunes on the 12th April 2011.

The single is a light-hearted, feel good song and Travis Clark's harmonious voice creates a laid-back atmosphere which is sure to be the perfect accompaniment to the upcoming summer months. Although lyrically the song could perhaps be labelled as basic in comparison to previous hits such as 'Check Yes Juliet' and 'Secret Valentine', the simplistic lyrics allow the song to be carefree and the repetitiveness sticks firmly in the listeners mind. Revolving around love, the story is clearly told enabling the listeners to easily relate to the situation. Travis' voice remains slightly unpolished giving the slightly fresh original sound which We The Kings are renowned for.

With the release of the new album on the horizon, this new single could be the perfect way for We The Kings to increase their fan base as well as giving current fans an insight to their new work. In the meantime We The Kings fans worldwide will be satisfied with their most recent release and wait in anticipation for the summer album.
